Sales development at Seal, in Belize City

You call quality and manufacturing leaders at US biotech and pharma companies and book meetings for Seal's directors.

  • BZ$12 an hour (about BZ$2,080 a month) plus BZ$100 for every qualifying meeting you book
  • Full time, 40 hours a week on US hours, in person in Belize City, on a small team led by Willem

Your practice sales call

You're the salesperson. You phone a busy quality manager at a US biotech company, played by an AI, and try to book them a meeting with Seal.

The job is calling US companies all day, so it needs a neutral accent that sounds American on the phone. We listen to every call for that, as well as for how you handle the person.

Book the meeting to pass a level. Each level is harder than the last, and every call is a different person, so listen and answer what they say. After level 3 you can keep going: there are 100.

How to pass

Book a 15-minute video call with one of Seal's directors, on a day and time they agree to.

  1. Say who you are and why you're calling, in the first 10 seconds."Hi, it's (your name) from Seal. We help quality teams cut the paperwork on batch records…"
  2. Ask how their team handles that paperwork today, and listen.
  3. When they push back, stay calm and ask another question. Don't just repeat your pitch.
  4. Ask for a specific day and time.
  5. Keep it a conversation. Say a sentence or two, then let them talk, and answer what they actually said. They're busy and will cut you off: stop, and answer what they asked. Reciting a script, or talking fast so they can't reply, fails the level.

Find somewhere quiet, with headphones if you have them. Each call is up to 5 minutes and recorded so we can listen to it. You have 10 calls; one that doesn't connect or ends within a few seconds doesn't count.
